We are aware that clients come to us at different steps in this model. As career counselors our job is to assess where you are in the career development process and provide guidance and support that will help you progress to the next step.
Career Visions offers clients the opportunity to take the career inventories, Myers -Briggs and Strong Interest Inventory. Your consultant will help you decide whether one or both of these instruments will enhance your self-assessment and career planning process.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The MBTI is a personality inventory that reflects an individual’s preference for eight aspects of human personality. The Meyers-Briggs is not only helpful in career planning but can also be used as a tool to improve work relationships, increased productivity and strengthen interpersonal and leadership styles
Strong Interest Inventory
The Strong Interest Inventory measures your general interests, activities that you enjoy and occupations that appeal to you. It then compares these interests and activities with people happily employed in a wide variety of occupations.
A card sort exercise that helps you identify specific skills by function and evaluate which skills you would like to use in your current or future job. SkillScan can be completed in a session with your consultant.
A new and highly respected card sort that helps you identify both strengths and weaknesses in work competency areas. A career consultant can integrate Career Architect in counseling sessions and help you develop a plan to improve your effectiveness on the job and expand your career development.
